Zu dieser österlichen Zeit

My next new hymn translation for Lochner’s Easter-book is “Zu dieser österlichen Zeit” (L. Helmbold, 1575), which opens Devotion 31 (“Christ Equips the Apostles with a Miraculous Gift for Their Authentication”). There are two main melodies, one from the original publication in 1575 and one adapted by Layriz from the Tenor line of Praetorius’s (1609) and included in the back of the Easter-book.
