BLEST be the Lord and Savior
Christ Jesus, very God,
Who in His love and favor
Washed us with His own blood.
With new life hath arrayed us,
And kings and priests hath made us,
Anointed for His praise.

2 In honor He hath brought us
Before the Father high,
Hath many bounties wrought us,
E’en heaven doth supply,
To Him be glory given,
All power and dominion
Now and forevermore!

Gelobt sei Christus Gotts Sohn,
der uns so lieben thut,
daß er von Sünden wäschn schon
uns mit seim theuren Blut,
hat uns gar neu geboren,
zu Konign auserkoren,
gesalbt zu Priestern auch.

2 Für Gott und seinem Vater
hat er uns so geehrt,
erzeiget viel Wohlthaten,
den Himmel uns beschert,
all Ehr sei ihm gegeben,
und alle Gwalt darneben
nun und in Ewigkeit.
