BLEST be both now and evermore
Our Lord God all things before,
The Father of the Christ our Lord,
God, who all comfort doth afford:
Kyrieleis!

2 The Father of all mercy, He
Comforts us in misery,
Saves us from trouble, grief, and woe,
And makes His own His help to know:
Kyrieleis!

3 Christ’s suff’rings in us may abound
And no human help be found;
Yet shall we consolation see
By Christ the more abundantly:
Kyrieleis!

der Vater unsers Herren Christ,
der ein Gott alles Trosts ist:

2 Ein Vater der Barmherzigkeit,
der uns tröst in allem Leid,
aus aller Noth, Angst und Trübsal
hilft er den seinen allzumal:
Kyrieleis!

3 Wie wir des Leidens Christi viel
haben jetzt ohn Maß und Ziel,
also werden auch reichlich wir
getröst werden durch Christum schier:
Kyrieleis!
