The next previously untranslated hymn in Lochner’s Passion-book is the repentance hymn, “Bin ich, Herr Jesu, der dich liebet” (J. A. Grammlich, 1727) from the end of Devotion 10, based on Matthew 26, for which I translated stanzas 1–2 and 6. Here I present my translation of the full hymn.
Mel.: Wer nur den lieben Gott läßt walten
LORD, am I one who loves Thee truly,
Who clings to Thee in times of woe?
Who is to Thee devoted wholly,
And in Thy ways alone doth go?

Who coldly turns his back to Thee?
