But I didn't save it either - bummer! I was looking for it, because I thought it was more singable than either the ELH version, which gets a little clumsy and forced at times (for instance,"Which Satan's lust on Eve did thrust" st. 1,and "foemen" st. 4) or the Jacobi version, which has a rather wooden and vague stanza 1, compared to his other stanzas.

Jonathansinglutheranchoraleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14053767634731635218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2529025296641122572.post-59785428278729631882014-02-06T15:59:32.892-06:002014-02-06T15:59:32.892-06:00Hi Jonathan. I did a "downdate" of Mark DeGarmeaux's translation "By Adam's Fall Was All Forlorn" for my own amusement, but that excellent modern language translation is available in the ELH, and with this one available, I must have gotten rid of the downdated version. Does that answer your question satisfactorily?Matt Carver (Matthaeus Glyptes)https://www.blogger.com/profile/05089508591297052114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2529025296641122572.post-83705466343378292362014-02-04T07:47:59.921-06:002014-02-04T07:47:59.921-06:00Hi Matt,
